My old red Troy Bilt mower is getting worn out and makes cutting grass a chore. So time for a new one and a much better riding mower. Also a dump cart for all the gardening and stuff I need to do.
(notice grass is not cut, I forgot to buy gas :P)
Love how I sit high on the mower, easy steering and smooth hydromatic transmission. The E130 has the rear fenders and front push bar that I just had to have :D Plus I think it’s the biggest engine you can have on a 42 inch deck.
22HP V-twin!
Skeptical about John Deeres Easy Oil Change, you only change the filter and only the oil that is in the filter. New filter has fresh oil and it’s only a partial oil change. Have read that there is a bypass kit you can put that has the old tried and true oil filter and oil drain.
Cup holder and a deep storage area with a lid! Phone fits perfect in it.
Dump cart is heavy duty plastic and steel with axle bushing that you can grease. Also can dump a load (lol) on any side.

Very Nice! I miss my rider we moved and upsized our house while down sizing our yard so only a puny push mower for me:( Your new ride looks great! 10/10 would mow your yard.

My stepfather’s Craftsman riding mower is beat to hell, but it works just fine for the most part.
Except the parking brake is sticky, so if you use 100% brake while stopped, it acts like the parking brake dropped.

Welcome to the riding club!
I never knew how handy these tools would really be, even in a small yard like mine. The deck on mine is a little too big for my yard and it makes it difficult to move it through some of the tight spots. Yours looks just right. I’m jealous.
The dumping trailer is probably my favorite part. Where I used to use a wheel barrow, now I get to unload at the driveway and just drive the rocks/dirt/soil amendment/mulch/whatever to where they need to go and then unceremoniously dump them where I want them.
That swivel action on your trailer looks like a great idea. Now I want one!

Craftsman mowers I think are primarily rebranded Husqvarn as . They are pretty tough mowers.
I picked up a relative of mines John Deere today that the deck is rusted out and been sitting out in the rain for a year. I’ll have an Oppo post about it tomorrow. It does run, but no brakes :D
I plan to use it to haul the cart and use my new mower to cut grass to save on wear

The troybilt is a riding mower too :) I couldn’t decide if I wanted the 42" or 48". It was the same price and same engine, but the 42" has the bumper and rear fenders, so I was sold :)
The dump cart is a Ohio Steel 1000P-SD. Sells for about $200. Excellent reviews and never have to worry about the bed rusting.

Very nice, congrats on the purchase !!
Last year I bought a ‘barn find’ LX176 from 1991. It sat for ~15+ years, but from what I read the Kawasaki engine and K61 transaxle were just about bulletproof. I went through the whole machine including the wiring harness and it has been a BEAST ever since. It will pull a small wheelie on an incline lol. I added a tow hitch but it’s still missing a place to put my beer!

I forgot to mention that bumper. Another reason I’m jealous. When we were getting my mom’s place ready to sell, I sent my son out with the riding mower to clear out the back 2.5 acres. I told him he could run over small saplings. I learned that h is definition of small is a little more ambitious than mine. You can’t see it from the pic above, but the lower bodywork is a bit bent now.
One of my many projects is treating the dump cart for rust. It isn’t too bad now, but with it going from garage storage and a drier climate to living outside in wet Louisiana, I’ll have to do something sooner rather than later. Perhaps I’ll just get rid of this cart and follow your lead.

I miss my Wheel Horse.
For some reason I don’t mechanically understand, if I depressed the brake pedal at a high enough rate of speed the rear wheels would actually rotate backwards for a second . This meant in 3 high at full throttle I could pitch it into a hard turn, jam the brakes, and it would drift. Made cutting the lawn a lot of fun.
